A Night Broadway
Illinois Conservatory for the Arts (ICA), a non-profit arts education institution in the Western suburbs, will host its 3rd annual "A Night of Broadway" benefit gala & concert featuring its greatest all-star lineup of Broadway stars to date: J. Harrison Ghee, the first openly non-binary performer to win the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical in 2023 for their performance in "Some Like it Hot"; Amber Iman, 2024 Tony Award nominated actress for her role in "Lempicka"; local favorite Karen Mason, an Arlington Heights native who originated the role of Tanya in the Broadway production of "Mamma Mia"; Aisha Jackson, the first Black actress to play Anna in "Frozen" on Broadway and current star of "The Notebook" on Broadway; and Myles Frost, winner of the 2022 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Michael Jackson in "MJ the Musical". Backed by a 20-piece orchestra led by Broadway veteran music director and Chicago native Valerie Gebert, the soloists will present a program of classic and contemporary Broadway hits.

Black Excellence on Broadway
Love & Light Productions’ Annual Black History Month concert will recognize performers like LaChanze, Lillias White, Norm Lewis, and others for their countless contributions to Broadway History. Our legends fought tirelessly to ensure Black performers had a space to share their artistry on the Great White Way, and this evening is a celebration of their legacy. Aisha Jackson (Frozen), Amber Iman (Lempicka), Hailee Kaleem-Wright (Moulin Rouge), Kyle Ramar Freeman (The Wiz), and additional Broadway performers will pay homage to the beautiful Black Broadway artists that have inspired them on their journey. Honored guests will be invited as VIPs and given flowers, literally and figuratively, for their impact on our lives and this industry. You’ll laugh, dance, and probably throw a shoe...or two!. Most of all, you’ll walk away with joy and more knowledge about the Black Excellence that overflows on Broadway. We hope you can join us for what’s sure to be a magical evening!
